WordPress 2.7 (Preview)

Ready for a WordPress 2.7 teaser? Look at this screenshot of the new WordPress 2.7 dashboard:


We use Wordpress 2.6 on some of our other blogs that aren't hosted on Blogspot. I'm drooling at the new stats feature and "QuickPress" flash posting right from the dashboard. Other new features include:

• Keyboard shortcuts for comment moderation
• Sticky Posts
• Comment threading
• Reply to comments from admin
  
• Frame-like method for moderating ping/trackbacks
• Plugin browser embedded
• Batch and inline editing

Hopefully WordPress 2.7 doesn't come with all the bugs and annoyances that 2.5 did. The conversion to 2.5 was pretty messy for us, but as all great dev teams learn from previous "mistakes", WordPress 2.7 looks to be a winner.
